Meksan Transformer Industry and Trade Ltd. Co. started operating in 1998 in the Şanlıurfa Organized Industrial Zone with 11 employees in a 5000 square meter area, including 3000 square meters of covered space. Our products are manufactured in accordance with TS 267 and IEC 76 standards. Our manufacturing processes are certified with TSE standard conformity, ISO 9002 quality system, and ISO 14000 environmental management system certificates.

Meksan Transformer, aiming for continuous improvement in the field of transformer manufacturing and maintenance, has strived to renew its products by closely following R&D activities and technology.

The transformers we manufacture are among the most needed electrical equipment in our target market. Our transformers are mostly used in industry, irrigation, and lighting. We manufacture two types of transformers: distribution transformers and power transformers. Until 2004, our company served the domestic market. After 2004, we expanded our operations, increasing our workforce to 60 people and beginning exports.

In 2010, our company purchased the Zeki textile factory, which had an area of 5,000 square meters, and began making strides towards power transformer production. As a result, our manufacturing area was expanded to 10,000 m2 of indoor space and 5,000 m2 of outdoor space, making it suitable for power transformer production.

In 2014, within the scope of the KOSGEB Şanlıurfa Directorate, the KOMPAKT type 10 MVA DYN 11 ONAF Power Transformer Production R&D Innovation program was successfully completed with the provision of necessary training and infrastructure, and the production of power transformers, which was the initial target, was started. In response to demand, an additional production facility was established in 2014 in Şanlıurfa's 2nd Organized Industrial Zone, on a 52,000 square meter area with 10,000 square meters of enclosed space. With the procurement of machinery and equipment, both production capacity was increased and the number of personnel was increased to 113.

Meksan Trafo San. ve Tic. Ltd. Şti., with the support of KOSGEB Şanlıurfa Directorate in 2016, acquired new machinery, equipment, and software programs through the Industrial Application Program to fulfill transformer orders of varying power levels from both domestic and international markets. Based on this experience, the company has shifted its focus to the production of larger-scale power transformers. Furthermore, it continues its services by obtaining the TÜRKAK Certificate within the TÜBİTAK framework, recognizing its status as an internationally recognized testing laboratory.

In 2018, with the support of the KOBIGEL program, innovations were introduced in the field of energy efficiency, and the production of transformers that will operate more efficiently and minimize energy loss in power lines was started.

Currently employing 173 people, Meksan Transformer Industry and Trade Ltd. Co. exports its transformers primarily to African countries, the Middle East, and European countries. The company aims to expand its operations by establishing a second testing laboratory and targeting the production of 50 MVA power transformers.
